| Discussions have begun about holding men's retreats in the jail similar to those for women. Contact Deacon Ralph Wisniewski at WisniewskiR@archmil.org to get involved.
Sister Giselda Fenech pictured above, second from left, has been visiting the jail for 31 years, five days a week. She calls the guards her children, the inmates her children, too. Known as "Sister G" by all, she brings pencils, paper and envelopes to the inmates. She also prays with them, listens to them, and hugs them. She says that this jail is her church, her cathedral, her holy land. "I see God here," she says."This is where I found God. I didn't find him in a church; I didn't find him in a convent. I found God here. This is where I see his face. He is everywhere."

Prayer requests are gathered from different pods and distributed at the parish on Sunday mornings.
Here is a thank you letter received recently:
“Us girls from the County Jail would like to thank you guys for everything you have done for us. Like coming to see us and making us feel like we’re special. We thank you for bringing us envelopes, paper and pencils. We would especially like to thank you guys for every prayer you have asked god to forgive us for. Many girls here don’t have any visits and it’s such a blessing to see someone here to talk to them. Like me I loved to see people like you guys, y’all are very helpful and concerning about people hearts & soul. Most churches don’t support people in jail or even think to pray for us. But god will bless you guys for everything y’all have done. Once again thank you guys for everything you have done. May god bless you all. Amen. Jessica, Joyce, Latoya, Echo, Tametra, Shameka, Tastra, Deloris, Chris, and many more of us kept a prayer in mind and were going to keep saying “Thank You” once again god bless us all. Amen.”
