Mardi Gras on February 2nd of 2008 kicked off the year-long festivities. Parishioners and guests made masks and shoe-box size floats for a parade around the meal hall. There was a potluck dinner and music.

St Benedict the Moor feast day was celebrated on April 6th with liturgy at 10:00am followed by brunch downstairs. 60 Alumni plus spouses, former teachers and present parishioners enjoyed a memory-filled day.

On July 20th a picnic reunion invited present & former parishioners, those who were baptized at St Ben's, were married at St Ben's, the Capuchins, the sisters who served the ministries, and friends of friends. 10am Liturgy was followed by food, fun, reminiscing, and storytelling.

The celebrations culminated on November 8th with a gala Dinner of Thanksgiving for all the blessings received these past 100 years. Pictures will be posted soon.
